In 1969 she has to leave Brazil to find refuge in Germany: Her participation in the protests against the military dictatorship by the Theatre Oficina had put her on the black lists of the repressive troops.

In Germany, she worked for German TVs with documentaries and scenography, besides five years lived in India. From 1980 to 1998 she moved to the Balearic Islands in Spain where she fully dedicated herself to painting. Back to Brazil in 1999, she keeps painting in her home-atelier in the countryside. Among collectors that bought her art is the BankBoston in Germany besides private collectors in Germany, Belgium and Spain.
